Petersville, Alaska - Foothills of Denali, the Great One

The pictures posted are taken over the last 5 years....but the beauty of the land is timeless.

The pictures were taken in the Petersville area which in just south of the Denali National Park & Preserve.

Thus the views of Denali (aka McKinley) from the Petersville Road.

I had to include this picture....it's my Mom (79 yrs) & Dad (85 yrs soon). They both are still continuing to enjoy the beauty of the Alaska outdoors! They refer to their ATVs as their wheel chairs with four wheels!

The winding river below is a view one can see from about Mile 14 on the gravel road.

And on the other side of the road on the hillside is Mr. Red Fox watching over his world.
Going further on the gravel road, Mom comes across a sign for Kenny Creek Lodge which can be reached by four-wheelers in the summer & snowmobiles in the winter.
Mile 19 presents The Forks Roadhouse.
Dad checking out the fishermen on Dollar Creek near The Forks Roadhouse.
My brother, Bob Jr, contemplating the beauty.
The next six pictures are in the Peters Hills.
My brother, the hunter!

Snack time at Mom's four wheeler!

Lunch time now!!

Dad crossing a creek...or I should say "floating" across!

Mom must have found a shallower way across!
I had to include this winter photo of Denali taken from my brothers cabin!
Of all the beautiful pictures taken, this one is my favorite!
